The best move I ever made was walking up to the world famous Golf Instructor, Peter Kostis, in Boca Raton, Florida and asking him if I could watch him teach.
That's how I got started teaching golf and it was the best move of my life! Since then, I have been fortunate enough to be trained by several of the top rated golf instructors in the world and have developed an amazing junior golf program that is available to everyone!
My teaching career began in 1993 at Boca Grove Plantation in Boca Raton, Florida as an Assistant Professional. There I spent extra time "shadowing" Peter Kostis. From creating and executing golf camps at The Boca Raton Resort and working with Dave Pelz Scoring Schools, I found I had a passion for junior golf.

My love for golf brought me back home to Wisconsin working at Brynwood Country Club (now The Wisconsin Club) where I developed a very successful junior golf program. My teaching passion then led me to Oahu Country Club in Hawaii. When I decided to leave Hawaii, I came to North Florida and started teaching at TPC at Sawgrass, where I introduced my junior golf programs to Ponte Vedra. My time there was an excellent opportunity for me to learn, practice, and play with the numerous local PGA TOUR players. While working and playing with them, I was able to introduce into my teaching programs the practice routines, detailed swing mechanics, fitness, and desire that golfers need to be successful.
THE Golf Academy of North Florida (TGANF) is the #1 Rated Junior Golf Academy in North Florida. We boast 28 full-time students, numerous collegiate players, and our 1st LPGA TOUR player in Ginger Howard.
At TGANF, we have one of the best practice facilities in North Florida. We use state-of-the-art V1 Coaching video software for analysis during instruction and the FlightScope X2 Elite launch monitor system. We boast our very own 400-yard practice hole in tournament condition. This is great for the tournament player to work on their yardages, scoring shots, greenside and fairway bunker play, uphill/downhill, uneven lies, and tournament strategies. We call it "RED 9." No other golf academy has this advantage.
Located at beautiful Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club, the most junior-friendly golf facilities in Jacksonville, we enjoy these golf courses year-round, which employs the best professional staff around! With the help of the Magnolia Point professional staff, TGANF is growing into "THE" location to bring your junior to play and learn!
